Are You Wasting Your Time?

Well I guess time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time. Personally I feel like my blog isn’t one of those black holes that you get sucked into and hours later realize that it wasn’t worth wasting your time over. I started this blog as part of my Composition class. I choose to write about traveling because almost everybody travels, whether it’s for work or for vacation, travelling effects many people.

You wouldn’t be wasting your time reading my blog because of its interactivity with the reader and that it covers a range of topics, guaranteed to entertain you. For example, my last post “Let It Go” discusses 10 bad habits travelling helps you let go of while challenging you, the reader, to let go of one of those habits if you’ve got one.

That brings me to the next reason. My blog reaches out to its audience and helps them out. For example, “Interviewing an Experienced Traveller” aims to give the audience some tips and tricks from an expert traveller to help them choose their perfect time for their perfect destination, all in an effort to create unforgettable memories.

I always try hard to create things that are different from the usual and ordinary. The same went for my blog. I believe my blog is unique and different from other blogs of its same type. Instead of focusing on reviewing places, recommending destinations and travel trivia and fun facts, I consider my blog to be a collage of different travel blogs. For example, my first post was a place I’ve always wanted to go to and was recommended to me by many people. My second was an interview with tips from an expert traveller. This makes it easier for the reader to find all the information he/she needs in one place rather than looking at multiple blogs.

Although my blog is a bit hard to navigate through, possibly unappealing to the eyes and is only three posts, I still believe that it is a good read and can become so much more than a simple class assignment.

Finally, I would like to say that I whole-heartedly believe that my blog is a blog worth reading. A blog, which time won’t be wasted on and a blog that makes for a good read for everyone. In the end travelling is one of those things we as humans find it hard to hate.

  1. In my opinion, I think that your posts are pretty well written and structured. It’s one of the blogs that I like visiting and reading more about. As you mentioned, it attracts a wide range of audiences, including who travels for work or just for entertainment. So congratulations on such a good blog, keep it fresh!

  2. The opening of this post is just PERFECT. It is an eye catching introduction and I was almost FORCED to keep on reading the rest. In fact, I did not stop in this post; I went to your ‘Let it Go’ response and read it as well. I must admit that you are a really good writer; it doesn’t even sound like a class assignment, but rather something that you enjoy writing about! You made me, who doesn’t really like to read, view all of your posts and read them! This is beyond perfection. Well done and keep it up!

  4. Wow! Lots of nice comments here, Ghalya. The work you put into your writing shows on your blog and your audience noticed. In fact, with your most recent posts, you are beginning to find more intriguing content to respond to and those are, in turn, leading you elsewhere. Your most recent post, for instance, ends with your threat about a future post detailing the benefits of our lovely city. Go for it!
